About the Role
Based at our Tamar Valley, Launceston site, this position is a key member of the Site Leadership Team and is responsible for driving the site quality culture through the development, implementation, monitoring and reporting of the site Quality system including:
- Providing strong guidance to the Production and Technical teams on change management in relation to quality matters.
- Developing the quality related capabilities for all employees as appropriate.
- Ensuring compliance to food safety requirements for all products manufactured.
- Effective management of the Laboratory and Quality programs, and leadership of a team of technical experts who ensure that we provide quality products to our customers and consumers at all times.
- Compliance to external audits and ensure all external and internal audit corrective actions are closed out.
- Developing and implementing Quality programs in line with Lactalis Quality targets and driving actions to reduce the cost of Quality losses.
- Monitor and report on consumer complaints to support the development of preventative measures.
The Successful Candidate
You will have the appropriate Science/Food Science/Food Processing qualifications and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Laboratory applications in Food manufacturing. Your personal qualities include being a strong team player, ability to constructively challenge others and enjoy building the capability of many.
