We’re seeking a Receptionist to manage all incoming and outgoing visitors, communications and information at the Smith Shearer office. Your responsibilities will include, (but will not be limited to):
- Looking after the reception area of our office and welcoming visitors and clients
- Being the first point of contact for all incoming phone calls and emails; provide a welcoming experience and direct calls and emails onwards where required
- Managing the flow of all information into and out of reception including: the admin@ inbox, physical document drop-offs and collections, incoming and outgoing mail
- Running daily errands for the office and for the accountants as required
- Ensure meeting rooms, kitchen and common areas are clean and tidy before and after use, including implementation of COVIDSafe and other hygiene protocols where required
- Tracking and managing lodgements and processing of ATO compliance requirements for clients
- Document management including copying, scanning and filing
- Coordinate materials displayed on electronic and physical noticeboards, as well as around the office
- Assist with stationery and office equipment orders as required
Ideally, we’d like you to have some experience in an office environment, OR, you may be entry-level with the ability to learn on the fly. If you can demonstrate accounting firm or business services/finance industry experience, your application will be highly regarded.
You’ll be an excellent communicator and enjoy working in a close-knit team that values interpersonal connections built with long-term clients over a number of years. You’ll value diversity in the workplace and be able to demonstrate providing excellent client service.
In terms of your technical skills, you’ll have experience and high-level skills (or willing to learn) in MS Office, specifically Word and Excel, and Outlook. We’re looking for an individual who is technologically-driven and future-focused, valuing advancements in digital capabilities for both the firm and for our clients.
