Whitsunday Doctors Service is looking for an additional medical receptionist to join our growing team working across both Airlie Beach and Proserpine .
The applicant must have excellent presentation and communication skills and be able to multitask in a busy working environment.
Position is intially as a casual with the potential to be permanent employeewith regular hours .
Key Responsibilities:
- Outstanding level of customer service on the telephone, and greeting patients
- Maintaining patient confidentiality
- Efficient management of all patient data, appointments, clinical files, correspondence and accounts
- Scheduling and effective management of patient bookings in Best Practice software
- Provide information to patients on practice services and fees
- Management of patient invoicing and receipting of consultations
- Completion of end of day reconciliations
- Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence electronically and in print
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 24 months experience working in an administration role ( past medical experience will be highly regarded and is preferred)
- Excellent communication skills to enable you to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
- Proven ability to be adaptable when working in a fast-paced environment
- A genuine desire to provide high quality service to all
- Experience with Best Practice software is desirable
- Flexibility in working hours - availability between the hours of 7.00am and 5.30pm monday - Friday
- Strong team player, motivated and able to work within a team as well as independently
- Problem-solving skills; thinking outside the box and attention to detail
