About the facility
The Gretta Volum Centre is a freestanding day surgery unit within University Hospital Geelong.
It has two operating theatres and one endoscopy procedure room. Services are provided for patients undergoing a broad range of surgical, diagnostic procedures, intravenous therapy, abdominal paracentesis, and CVC line insertions.
The Youang Surgery Centre is a 4 theatre complex covering a broad range of minor and major procedures. Our centres are staffed by Administrative staff from 0630-1900 Monday to Friday.
About the role
The Theatre Receptionist is responsible for the delivery of consumer-focused administrative support; ensuring equity of access throughout the patient's journey in within the operating suite environment and to assist the multidisciplinary team by providing efficient and effective clerical support so as to achieve desired outcomes. Some of the tasks required are; admission and discharge of patients, booking of theatre cases, scheduling of patients and administrative support.
