The Ballarat Surgicentre is looking for an experienced professional, with reception or administrative experience, excellent customer service skills and the drive and passion to help patients within our Skin Cancer Clinic and Private Day Hospital.
This role will be on an ongoing casual basis of 2 to 3 shifts per week, with an immediate start for the successful candidate. It is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is interested in a long-term career prospect.
Previous experience in Administration or Medical Reception would be an advantage. The successful candidate will possess a strong work ethic and the ability to handle a high paced office environment. They will also enjoy working and developing within in a team orientated environment.
Tasks and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- General reception duties which involve greeting patients and answering the telephone in a warm and professional manner.
- Patient Liaison
- Management and scheduling of Specialists Consultation and Surgical Appointment Lists
- Processing of Medicare consultation claims.
- Handling of Patient Referrals and correspondence
- Preparation of Hospital Admission paperwork for surgery
- Accurate Creation, maintenance and filing of patient records and system database.
- General office and administration duties

Operational Hours: Monday to Friday
** Please note flexibility with shifts is required, there are variable start times during the day, with the first shift starting at 8 am. Shifts are 8 hours per day.
Note: Rosters are posted a minimum of 6 weeks in advance to assist with planning and supporting a work life balance.
Hourly Rate: Negotiable based on experience.
