Working in a team reporting to the Group HR Manager, this CASUAL ROLE will work closely with the Operational Managers and supervisors to provide recruitment support at all levels. If you love a challenge and are a self-starter, then this would be an amazing opportunity for you.
Responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
- Writing job briefs and position descriptions
- Writing job advertisements
- Job posting
- Shortlisting of candidates
- Conducting phone screening
- Interviewing candidates
- Conducting due diligence and offers.
- Explore new advertising strategies and platforms
- Data entry, management, and maintenance of the staff information on time and attendance and payroll system
- Setting up new hires on HR systems
- Maintain an open dialogue with potential candidates
- Managing labour hire transfer process
- Arranging and managing group interviews and site tours for potential candidates
- Arranging work trials with potential candidates
- Arranging pre employment medicals and functional capacity assessment
- Maintain an accurate recruitment database
- Arranging and conducting inductions
- Drawing up contracts for new employees
- Completing employee starter packs with new hires
- Collect recruitment documents and complete internal checks such as visa and work rights
- Engaging with internal stakeholders to truly understand the requirements of the vacancy and to continue to develop solid working relationships.
- Proactively contribute to the performance of the team
- Liaising with the broader HR team with regards to on-boarding, policy & procedure and remuneration.
- Other duties as assigned by the Group HR Manager.
Qualifications and Experience
This is the ideal role for someone who likes to be hands-on, who enjoys being a people person and will be able to use their communication and mentoring skills to enhance and improve the wellbeing and involvement of employees within the organisation.
- A proven track record of success managing a Blue-Collar recruitment portfolio.
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or similar discipline preferred.
- At least 12 months demonstrated experience as an Internal Recruiter or Agency recruiter is essential.
- The ability to build and maintain genuine working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to deal with people from a range of different backgrounds including non-English speaking.
- Strong initiative, positive, negotiating abilities, team player
- Working knowledge and understanding of HR trends and Recruitment best practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
