MA Regional Sales Manager
The MA Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales of pharmacy automation systems, software and consumables to pharmacies in their allocated territory.
Development of a territory business plan through individual contribution and also through cross functional working and collaboration.
Resulting implementation of business plan into delivering local commercially aligned objectives.
Essential Functions:
- Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs
- Identifying and generating leads and managing the network of customers and potential customers in your territory
- Achieving growth and hitting sales targets
- Designing and implementing a strategic sales plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence
- Meeting & presenting to high level customers at all levels including technicians, pharmacists, department heads and pharmacy owners
- Surveying pharmacies to understand existing supply chain and medicines management processes
- Analysing before and after data and scenarios to demonstrate potential benefits and savings
- Designing and scoping automation solutions to meet customer needs
- Work with the project management, customer success and operations teams to ensure successful sales to ‘go-live’ handovers are met
- Provide regular follow ups with customers
- Preparing detailed and complex sales proposals
- Responding to tenders
- Attending conferences and exhibitions
- Administering the CRM system, keeping it updated with current details, sales status and actions for each of your clients and target groups
- Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
- Accountable for continued professional development to perform at the optimum level for the role
- Provide regular and accurate performance reports, customer and environmental insights to the Sales Director and other members of the cross functional team. Adapt local strategy/tactics accordingly
- Deliver on the yearly financial commitments for all product segments as defined
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to plan and implement sales campaigns
- Ability to achieve sales from both new customers and existing customers
- Practical problem-solving personality
- Ability to plan and implement sales campaigns
- Understand pharmacy stock control and medicines management issues
- Understand automation systems from a functional and technical perspective and how they integrate with software systems and processes
- Excellent computer skills – MS Windows Operating Systems, MS Office, CRM Systems
- Previous direct Pharmacy/Pharmacy Automation experience is an advantage
- Hold a valid full Australian driving license
Communication and relationship skills
- Able to communicate on C-suite level
- Able to manage fast decision B2B Sales within the Community Pharmacy market
- Able to understand staff, workflow and current issues within the pharmacy
- Able to influence staff positively to engage with automation
- Able to generate sales leads and close sales
- Able to interpret intelligently feedback from staff
- Able to communicate concisely
Analytical and judgment skills
- Able to manage sales campaigns and keep them on track
- Understand the big picture and make intelligent decisions but take advice where appropriate, interpret advice and then act upon it
- Arrive quickly at logical conclusions and inject useful analysis into the project implementation process
Work Conditions:
Field role – based in Melbourne, Australia.
Willingness to travel interstate and internationally as required
Up to 25% travel may be required within Australia and internationally
Willingness to work outside of Australian business hours to collaborate with international colleagues, when required
