Role Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced roostering officer to contribute to business operations and strategy. The right candidate will play a key role in liaising with customers, Care Managers, Support Coordinators, and other stakeholders to ensure services are provided in accordance with the customer's needs and support worker's availability.
Responsibilities:
As the successful candidate you will be responsible for but not limited to the following duties:
- Assisting day-to-day rescheduling to cover unplanned changes in employee availability including sick leave, personal leave, and emergency replacement or backfilling requirements.
- Scheduling customer appointments in line with referral requests.
- Allocating shifts with consideration to the compatibility of customers and employees including skills, cultural, spiritual and lifestyle preferences.
- Completing and maintaining up-to-date and accurate records of customer interactions.
- Utilising various forms of communication including phone, email, and mail to respond to customer enquiries.
- Providing excellent customer experience in line with AHS's values, and behaviours, ensuring customer needs are met.
- Ad hoc duties related to rostering.

The ideal candidate:
- To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
- Tertiary qualifications in human services, social science or other related discipline are highly regarded.
- Previous experience in rostering staff within operational areas (Aged Care or Healthcare) is highly desirable.
- Experience in using Roster On or similar rostering software.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Proven ability to work in a team environment and build collaborative relationships.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a busy, fast-paced environment.
- Strong administrative skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Experience in providing exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Current and valid NDIS workers screening check or willing to obtain.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
