Welder required to support business with maintenance and sales
My client is recognised for design and manufacture of systems that “Total Material Control” for bulk materials handling operations such as conveying systems, storage, and dust control. They use computer assisted design to assist incorporation of their designs in their client systems.The office is based in Braeside and my client is seeking a Sales Support Technician with welding skills who will support the current Branch Manager with site services and sales and service clients with maintenance work on site.
SALES
- Practice time and territory planning.
- Undertake work with the “Right First Time” attitude.
- Complete Goldmine (Client Activity Reports).
- Follow the necessary Quality System procedures.
- Record hours worked, when required.
- Follow rules set in the “Terms of Employment” and company policies.
- Professionally promote solutions to a Client’s problem areas.
- Work as a team with co-workers in service, administration and workshop.
- Build a solid professional relationship with current and new Clients.
- Undertake, when necessary, negotiations with sub-contractors to undertake works on behalf of my client, such as the fabrication and installation of our equipment.
- All your actions will be directed to enhance the reputation of the company and company products.
- Keep an accurate account of travel expenditures.
- Check delivery dates can be met. Where it is not possible, please inform client of expected dispatch date.
- Welding Qualification or able to weld to an acceptable level.
- Install, Inspect and Maintain equipment professionally and safely.
- Attend site inductions, when required.
- Ensure WH & S procedures are adhered to.
- Maintain supplied toolkit.
- Professionally promote or troubleshoot solutions to a Client’s problem areas.
- Report equipment problems or opportunities for improvement to the Branch Manager.
- Work as a team with co-workers.
- Build a solid professional relationship with Clients.
- Read and interpret drawings (Training skills required).
- Supervise, Inspect and Maintain equipment professionally and safely.
- Supervision/Installation/Commissioning of client equipment.
- Site surveys, Data Collection.
- Training – new employees, i.e. welding technique and manufacturing procedures; service and installation techniques.
- Arranging inductions and safety checks.
- Coordination of Service personnel.
- Liaison with Branch Manager with any problems.
- Ensure WH & S procedures are adhered to.
- Job requirements and costing sheets to be filled out for jobs to be handled by the service team.
