The Role & The Team
As the Security and Facilities Coordinator, you play a crucial role in supporting the personal security, facilities, and workplace teams. Your responsibilities involve executing various functions related to access and ID, overseeing Facilities and workplace programs, and providing essential support for facilities. This includes managing operational and administrative tasks related to background checks for both Airservices personnel and contractors, as well as handling the issuance of identification cards.
This role extends to providing valuable assistance to the Facilities strategy department, contributing to facilities planning, and coordinating activities to support the department's development. Overall, your diverse responsibilities contribute to the effective and efficient functioning of security and Facilities operations within the organisation.

The Person
The successful applicant will have:
- Strong stakeholder engagement and the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Good understanding and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of programs.
- Strong knowledge in security background checking in relation to Aviation Security Identification cards (ASIC).
- Demonstrated knowledge in Facilities and workplace administration functions.
- Must possess or have the ability to hold an AGSVA baseline clearance with the possibility of upgrade to Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1).
- Understanding of the Australian Governments Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) within the Personnel Security and Governance sectors.
- Certificate IV in Government Security (Personnel Vetting) or equivalent is desirable.
