Reporting to the Security Manager and working closely with Defence personnel, you will lead a team of Security Officers to manage risk, and drive consistent and compliant governance, information, personnel, and physical security outcomes across multiple locations throughout Australia.

Job Description
Reporting to the Security Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting a positive security culture across ADF Careers.
You will:
- Maintain the security clearance level required to perform the role of a Security Officer within the Defence environment.
- Lead a small team of Security Officers, ensuring a consistent and policy compliant approach to security across ADF Careers.
- Act as a subject matter expert and central point of contact for all security related concerns, questions and escalations, with a particular focus on governance, physical and personnel security.
- Liaise with AGSVA, Defence and Adecco stakeholders to manage security clearances for Adecco and sub-contractor personnel.
- Ensure compliance by maintaining a contemporary understanding of the Defence and whole of Australian Government security operating environment.
- Drive and champion continual improvement to maintain the physical security of DFR, working closely with the Facilities team to execute and maintain.
- Maintain accurate and compliant security records and systems.
- Conduct assurance across the Security function, producing and presenting data driven reports and recommendations to support executive decision making.
- Develop, manage and maintain a high service level client relationship through the provision of services that meet or exceed the expectations of Defence and the DFR Adecco contract, further encouraging a strong and ongoing relationship between Adecco and the Commonwealth of Australia.

To be successful in this role, your background will demonstrate:
- Previous experience leading high performing small teams
- Previous experience in a Security Officer role working within the Protective Security Policy Framework or Defence Security Principles Framework
- Previous experience liaising with AGSVA to achieve personnel security outcomes
- Previous experience working within the MyClearance system is desirable
- An understanding of Defence / Defence industry is desirable
- High level of attention to detail
- High level of organisation and time management skills
- High level of stakeholder management and communication skills
