From facilities delivering life-saving therapies and ensuring clean water to enabling the connection of people through all modes of transportation and providing access to technology – we're integrating a multitude of these solution elements to build the smart environments of tomorrow.
Start your Jacobs career with a company that inspires and empowers you to deliver your best work so you can evolve, grow and succeed – today and into tomorrow.
Your Impact:
It is an exciting time to be part of the energy transition at Jacobs as our Energy & Power business continues to experience rapid growth. We are working with established clients across the globe to deliver the Energy Transition. From major renewable energy projects to high voltage direct current inter country interconnectors and offshore grids, we’re integrating a multitude of these solution elements to build a cleaner and more resilient energy future.
Jacobs offer a full range of Energy & Power Project services from pre-feasibility, through to detailed design, tendering, construction and site supervision. We are looking for a motivated person to manage projects primarily within the Transmission and Distribution sector, with the opportunity to work across other areas such as Generation, Power Systems and Industrial Power projects. Our scope of services is predominantly engineering design with a mix of consulting and owner’s engineers’ services. Here’s What You’ll Need:
As a Principal Project Manager in Jacobs Energy & Power group, you’ll be responsible for leading project teams to service Heavy Industrial Study Projects across various locations. You will manage complicated and high-profile projects, ensuring all project progress risks and issues are monitored and reported to achieve targeted outcomes. We are seeking an experienced individual with a relevant tertiary qualification, and the ability to manage the bid to completion process whilst acting as a Study Lead on Heavy Industrial Projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in leading Front End Engineering Designs, with the opportunity to:

  • Demonstrate your management skills to lead teams during all phases of the project from engineering, procurement, surveillance, construction, and commissioning.
  • Be accountable for hands on project and design management across multiple disciplines including related and disparate disciplines.
  • Be a trusted adviser and attain work through the sureness clients have in your project delivery skills and ability to nurture relations whilst delivering their requirements.
  • Effectively manage and guide a team across a diverse geographic region, including developing and mentoring less experienced project delivery professionals.
  • Collaborate with business groups to plan, scope and deliver coordinated services including commercial obligations, dealing with contracts, time, cost, change management and reporting.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills and deliver growth targets in sales and revenue through client interaction and preparing proposals and effective management.
  • Achieve required outcomes on assigned projects and for the business through effective commercial management.
  • Experience in the Transmission and Distribution industry and major projects is highly desirable.
