Key Responsibilities:
- Offer financial analysis and reports for ongoing development projects.
- Assist in handling project commitments and development invoices.
- Support project and contractor budgeting and forecasting.
- Contribute to the monthly drawdown process.
- Prepare monthly project reconciliations, reports, budget vs actual analyses, current commitments vs budget, and variance commentaries, adhering to month-end and investor reporting schedules.
- Work with the Fund Accounting team to oversee and predict development cash requirements.
- Collaborate with IT and the Development Management team to enhance system processes.
- Promote documentation and ongoing improvement in the standards and practices of development management and associated accounting.
- Fulfill other reasonable duties as assigned or deemed necessary.
- Adhere to established policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and operational processes. Report any violations to the relevant individuals.
- Identify areas for improvement, propose suggestions to enhance efficiency and productivity, and implement ideas for achieving operational excellence.
- Stay informed about current technological, process, and industry standards changes within the responsibility areas. Attend internal and external training sessions and apply gained knowledge and practices.
- Qualified CPA/CA
- 5+ years experience in the development property sector
- Understanding of AASB and IFRS
- Strong understanding of Australian tax compliance
- Excellent communicator
- Highly analytical and ability to solve complex problems.
