THE KEY DUTIES OF THE POSITION - WHAT WILL YOU DO?
In accordance with the APS 6 work level standards, you will:
- Consult with hiring managers across the Gallery to understand their specific job design, recruitment, and onboarding needs. Provide tailored options and solutions to meet the needs of the business, while providing consistent, timely and accurate advice on best practice recruitment and selection.
- Management of all end-to-end recruitment processes, including bulk and specialist rounds for APS and SES levels, as well as casual and non-ongoing processes.
- Advise managers on best practice and contemporary HR practices which are consistent with the Gallery Recruitment Guidelines, and diversity strategies.
- Use data and evidence to identify any risks, issues, gaps or inefficiencies in our processes, policies and procedures, forms, systems and record keeping, and coordinate project work as needed to implement approved improvements.
- Ensure friendly, clear and timely communication and excellent service and support to candidates for Gallery roles (internal or external). Build relationships with external stakeholders including the Australian Public Service Commission (APSC).
- Develop, update and review recruitment materials, including the intranet/internet, recruitment guidelines, job descriptions and selection methodology, assessment models, committee briefing information, and selection documentation.
- Contribute to the development, implementation and monitoring of HR policy, guidelines and processes with a focus on continuous process improvement.
