Overview
As a Senior HR Business Partner, you will play a crucial role in aligning human resources strategies with organisational goals, driving employee engagement, and fostering a positive work culture. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership, business units, and HR teams to deliver strategic HR initiatives, enhance organizational effectiveness, and promote a high-performance culture.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Leadership
- Support the Head of People in developing and executing HR strategies aligned with business objectives, to drive organisational growth and success.
- Provide strategic guidance to senior leadership on workforce planning, talent management, and organisational development.
Employee Relations
- Serve as a trusted advisor to management and employees, providing guidance and support on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Handle complex employee relations issues, investigations, and conflict resolution, ensuring fair and consistent treatment of all employees.
Talent Acquisition and Retention
- Partner with recruitment teams to develop innovative strategies for attracting top talent, including executive-level hires.
- Implement retention initiatives, career development programs, and succession planning processes to nurture and retain key talent.
Performance Management
- Design and implement performance management systems, processes, and tools to drive employee development, accountability, and performance excellence.
- Provide coaching and support to managers on performance feedback, goal setting, and performance improvement plans.
Organisational Development
- Lead change initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring efforts, to support business objectives and enhance organisational effectiveness.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to assess organisational needs, identify gaps, and implement solutions to improve team dynamics, collaboration, and efficiency.
HR Analytics and Metrics
- Utilise HR analytics and metrics to drive data-driven decision-making and measure the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to improve HR processes, employee engagement, and performance.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws, regulations, and company policies, mitigating risks and maintaining a positive employer brand.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to HR best practices and legal requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Full working rights in Australia
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with a focus on HR Business Partnering and strategic HR leadership.
- Experience in a ‘blue collar’ organisation is preferable
- Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive change.
