Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research Infrastructure)
This is a full-time fixed-term position through to Dec 2028 with salary in the range $88,099 - $94,512, plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%.

The principal responsibilities of the position are to provide a high level of administrative support and assistance to the Academic Director, Associate Director and Head of Operations in the efficient operation of the UQ Clinical Trials Centre (CTC). The Senior Project Officer will be responsible for supporting the coordination and administration of the implementation and operational phases of the Clinical Trials Centre, ensuring the successful delivery of its strategic and operational outcomes.
Key responsibilities will include:
Project Administration
Offer project and administrative assistance to UQ CTC Leadership, involving reporting on plans, milestones, and deliverables, aiding in task completion, and implementing project plans. Also, provide secretariat and administrative services, such as organizing committee meetings, managing actions, and facilitating engagements.
Conduct investigation and analysis, contributing to preparing briefs and reports for informed decision-making and planning. Additionally, coordinate and support the development of UQ CTC documentation portfolio and other materials, encompassing project plans, reports, and communication materials, as needed.
Other duties as requested by the supervisor.
Stakeholder engagement
Supporting senior staff in maintaining effective relationships that support the operational objectives, including internal and external stakeholders’ professional organisations and the community through effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Coordinating aspects of the UQ CTC’s budget
We seek a motivated Senior Project Officer to aid in implementing and operating the UQ CTC. This role involves coordinating various activities to achieve strategic goals, collaborating within a high-performing team. The ideal candidate possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills, excels in stakeholder engagement, and can effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely delivery of objectives.
Essential
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/training required.
Demonstrated experience in advanced project coordination/administrative support.
Strong time management, written/oral communication, and diplomacy skills.
Ability to prepare high-quality reports, proposals, and presentations.
High-level judgment in planning, problem-solving, and deadline management.
Experience with project management platforms and adaptable to new software.
Desirable
Experience in a large complex organisation, health system and/or within a Clinical Trials Centre or similar would be advantageous.
You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment and may be required to complete background checks including, criminal history and education checks.
