Job description

At Advanced Support Services, we are dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with disabilities, and we are currently seeking a passionate and motivated individual to join our team as a Service Coordinator.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Legislative framework Application: Apply an understanding of the relevant legislative frameworks to day-to-day work practices in supporting the Company as a whole. 
  • Services Supervision: Ensure services are provided in ways that reflect the underpinning philosophies and principles for supporting people with a disability. 
  • Document Management: Ensure all necessary documents are visible, completed, and filed.
  • Clients Visitation: Visiting clients on a regular basis. 
  • Client Onboarding and Exiting: Meeting with new clients, and managing the onboarding and exit process of other clients.
  • Completing Necessary Assessments: Conducting risk assessments, and completing needs assessments for new clients.
  • Recruitment: Actively participating in the recruitment and onboarding process of new employees.
  • Team Support: Support the Disability Service team members, including developing and implementing care plans and projects and enhancing team cohesion.
  • On-call: To be available for on-call duties as directed by the organization. To always remain available and contactable by phone while on call.
  • Flexibility: To be flexible to perform other related tasks as the organisation requests when the person in charge is unavailable.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Attention to detail
  • Demonstrate practical time management skills and the ability to be flexible and responsive to operational requirements. 
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work positively in a team environment and work under pressure.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy and to work in a position of trust.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Initiative and willingness to take on new tasks and challenges as they arise.
  • Ability to supervise and lead staff. 
  • Commitment to person-centred care.
