About the Company:
West Power Group Pty Ltd is a privately owned specialist generator company based in Canning Vale, Perth.
WPG provide sales, rental, installation, service and support to the construction, electrical, mining and resource industries for diesel power generation systems, fuel systems, generator installation, service, maintenance and factory load testing.
The Role:
West Power Group Pty Ltd require an experienced Service & Rental Manager to join our team based in Perth. Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Key Client Contact: Liaise closely with key service and rental client contacts.
- Preventative Maintenance: Manage all on-going routine preventive maintenance.
- Rental: Manage all short term and long term rental including maintenance and breakdowns.
- Reporting: Produce reports to keep the client informed as to the project progress.
- Documentation: Be involved in the development of site specific documents such as installation methodology, JSA’s, SWMS etc.
- Technical Services: Providing technical support to in-house personnel and clients on our specialised equipment provided as part of the packages.
- Sub-Contractor Management: Engage, Supervise & drive sub-contractors to deliver on agreed services ensuring they comply to set completion time frames, agreed cost and that work is too a high standard
- Quality Assurance: Ensure QA is met throughout contract.
- Leadership & Team Management: Leading, supervising & driving service technician personnel covering tradesmen, trades assistants, riggers and sub-contractors.
- Working on the Tools: Only when the workload permits.
- Tendering Assistance: The candidate will also be required to assist the sales team in tendering Service & Rental projects. Assistance will involve site visits to scope out site works required and also assist in budgeting for site works.
As you can see the role is one where the successful candidate will have to wear several hats and have exceptional administration, technical skills, be willing to work on the tools (when workload permits), have client management/people skills, time management and planning skills in order to be able to meet the responsibilities of the role.

The Candidate
Having an in depth knowledge and experience on our equipment type is the main area of focus, where candidates that have worked in Installation and Commissioning of the following equipment are high on our list;
- Standby generator systems.
- Prime power generator systems.
- Diesel fuel systems.
- Mechanical & Electrical installation of generator systems.
Although not essential criteria, candidates that possess the following qualifications or trades are encouraged to apply;
- Tradesmen: Electrical, Instrumentation or Mechanical
- Project Management: Tertiary, Diploma or Cert
- Tickets/Licenses: Electricians, Leadership Training. Please note that if the required tickets to carry out the above-mentioned projects are not held, West Power Group are willing to compensate the candidate to obtain these tickets/licenses.

Essential Criteria:
- A current and valid WA driver’s license.
- Time management and task prioritization ability.
- Able to manage and perform administrative and hands on duties.
- A positive can do attitude and a team player mentality.
- Great customer skills.
- National Police Clearance.
