We are looking for Social Workers, both part-time and full-time, to join our dynamic and innovative Wellbeing Workforce South East Region team to provide support to young people enrolled in State Schools across the Gold Coast and Logan City.
About the Role:
The Wellbeing Workforce in the South East Region is a growing team passionate about helping students from Prep to Year 12 with their mental health needs. We work with students to connect, engage, and support them to maximise their education outcomes.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
- Implement strategies to improve student non-attendance, school refusal, and address the personal and academic impacts of suspension and exclusion.
- Help students and parents/ carers to navigate the welfare systems and access relevant support.
- Provide a holistic approach in recognising barriers for students, and families, in engaging in education.
- Provide professional social welfare assessments, interventions, and follow up support.
Highly desirable skills and experience;
- Tertiary degree in Social Work with AASW registration eligibility
- Current Blue Card, or willing to obtain prior to commencement
- Driver Licence
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed

- Kingston SS (0.6FTE) Temporary contract until 20 May 2025
- Highland Reserve SS/ Nerang SS (1.0FTE) Temporary contract until 24 April 2025
