Position Summary
Unique opportunity to join an established company and contribute towards developing an internal interdisciplinary team of allied health professionals. We are seeking a qualified, highly motivated, passionate, and empathetic paediatric Speech Pathologist to join the Nutrition Health and Wellbeing Team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a contract private practice role, with the opportunity to grow a large clientele base from many existing potential referrers, including GPs, specialists and NDIS connections.

Established by Leeanne Azzopardi, Accredited Practising Dietitian in 1995, together with her team, have fostered a strong, trusted reputation and referral relationships in our local communities and are affiliated with 58 Medical clinics across Melbourne, Geelong and Ballart. With a current team of 13 Dietitians, we value collaboration, effective communication and place client care at our core. Our vision is to create a high quality and collaborative, central access clinic for children and adults to receive a wholistic treatment experience across nutrition, speech and psychology.

About the caseload:
The role would be best suited to someone with a creative approach to clinical situations and enjoys working collaboratively with children, adults, families/carers and health professional teams. A desire to establish long term rapport and working relationships with clients, stakeholders and referrers, and who has confidence and communication/advocacy skills. The caseload will require you to:
- Provide paediatric speech pathology services to children and adolescents.
- Have the ability to assess and treat a variety of disorders commonly found in adults.
- Provide speech pathology services for clients under the NDIS scheme.
- Conduct assessments, diagnoses, goal setting and develop individualised treatment plans.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals within the clinic to provide holistic care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation.
- Adhere to professional code of ethics and standards of practice set forth by Speech Pathology Australia
- Assist with marketing activities and develop marketing materials such as blog posts, social media, newsletters, promo handouts, networking events, GP luncheons etc
- Have the opportunity to contribute in team meetings towards service improvements, collaborations and client care.
Essential Criteria:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech Pathology.
- Current registration with Speech Pathology Australia.
- Registered through Medicare
- Experience working with paediatric clients (Preferred)
- Experience working in a similar private practice, clinical setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Desire to collaborate with other allied health professionals in a interdisciplinary model of care.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) guidelines
- Experience working with a diverse population base
- Copy of Insurances, WWCC, CRC, NDIS worker screening check (if you have this).
