SPORTS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
This is a Part-time, term-time contract that is contracted to work 25 hours per week and requires a level of flexibility regarding hours of work (morning, afternoons and weekends)commencing Monday 15 April 2024 and concluding on Friday 14 June 2024.
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Sport Development Officer who will play a pivotal role in the development of the Colleges sport programs. As a Sport Development Officer, you will be responsible for managing and implementing a comprehensive sport program that will cater to diverse interests and abilities.
The role will encompass the following responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of designated sports program.
- Develop positive relationships with students & encourage their active participation in the sports program.
- Oversee the performance of duties and responsibilities within designated sport programs especially in all aspects of training and competition.
- Supervise the input, attendance, and behaviour of all program members, ensuring that school procedures and policies are always enforced.
- Manage the logistics of and administration of training sessions, competitions, training camps and other events.
- Undertake clerical and organisational tasks.
- Maintain current information, booklets, and other materials necessary to the programs.
- Embrace and enhance the position of the College as a leading provider of sporting education.
- Ensure the reputation of LHC’s students as ‘good sports people’ is maintained and enhanced.
What we are looking for:
To be successful in your application you will need to possess the following knowledge, skills, and attributes:
- Relevant experience in sports management and administration within a school or similar environment
- First Aid and CPR certifications
- Blue card
- Ability to communicate sensitively and respectfully with student, parents and staff
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and cooperatively within a term environment
- Ability to work flexible work hours (on occasion) to meet College requirements.
