About the role
The Student Services and Experience Officer - Activities will provide a high level of support and administration in the coordination of the student social program and other Student Services support activities to ensure that student experiences remain at the centre of our operations. The role will coordinate and deliver a professional and first-rate campus activities program, designed to engage and excite a diverse student group.
Key areas of responsibility:
- Coordinate, book and schedule activities with external agencies in line with budget considerations
- Utilise a range of platforms including social media to actively promote the activities calendar
- Gather student feedback and work with the Student Services and Experience Manager to identify and action continuous improvements opportunities
- Be a first point of contact for student queries and interactions
- Ensure accurate data and accounting information is maintained, utilising a variety of systems
- Maintain a welcoming and safe student workplace, including off-site activities
- Undertake a variety of student administrative duties
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Demonstrated experience in the coordination and delivery of student activities programs which engage a diverse student group
- A commitment to deliver excellent standards of customer service in a busy environment
- An appreciation and awareness of WH&S matters and student safety and wellbeing
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organised approach with the ability to multitask and prioritise
- Cultural sensitivity and patience
- First Aid Qualifications
- Working with Children Checks
- Ability to work within a team and independently
- Strong sales focus when dealing with potential clients
- Proficiency in MS Office suite of programs
- High school certificate or higher
Our Sydney Campus is diverse and includes a large population of Japanese and Mongolian students. Proficiency in spoken Japanese or Mongolian would therefore be desirable but is not essential.
