About the role
The Laundry Support Worker will play a crucial role in ensuring the provision of a safe and clean laundry service for residents, aligning with established standards. This role is integral to maintaining a hygienic and comfortable living environment for individuals within the facility.
We have Casual shifts available, across a variety of (rostered) Monday to Sunday shifts
Your main duties will include:
- Collects, sorts, washes, dries, and distributes clothing and linen according to laundry instructions
- Ensures ample supplies of clean linen, towels, and laundry skip bags are consistently stocked in designated storage areas within the home
- Performs mending on residents' clothing as needed and promptly reports any unusual incidents to the home manager
- Upholds infection control standards rigorously, including the timely scheduling of laundry cycles
- Completes sign-off record forms at the end of each shift, detailing completed cleaning tasks and documenting any outstanding issues for follow-up
About you
- Effective interpersonal communication; both written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads
- Commitment to continuous quality improvement
- Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control
- Experience in Aged Care
