About the Position
You will be accountable for providing best practice recruitment methodologies and sourcing strategies to position Council as an employer of choice to attract and secure top talent, ensuring Council has the right people in the right roles to deliver our strategic objectives .
You will be responsible for the end-to-end recruitment process, delivering a seamless experience for both candidates and hiring managers. You will work closely with hiring managers to understand their talent needs, enabling you to develop tailored recruitment and selection strategies to create talent pipelines.

What You will be doing:
Partner with stakeholders to understand and support organisational resourcing needs.
Create and develop talent sourcing solutions that deliver on Council’s strategies plans and objectives.
Manage end to end recruitment and attraction campaigns, from positing job ads and applicant screening to conducting pre-employment checks.
Provide specialised recruitment advice and guidance to hiring managers, ensuring a smooth and effective process.
About you:
We’re looking for an experienced Talent Acquisition Officer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about making a meaningful contribution to people’s career journey. As a key contributor to the Talent and Capability stream within the People & Culture Team, you will play a pivotal role in enabling the organisation to attract and source top talent.
You will have experience in:
- Managing end-to-end recruitment processes in a high-volume and fast paced environment.
- Successfully managing conflicting priorities, with a strong ability to adapt to changing deadlines.
- Collaborating with hiring managers to understand talent requirements and tailor recruitment strategies to meet their resourcing needs.
- Working in an Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
- Utilising candidate attraction and search techniques, talent pooling and selection assessment methodologies.
