About the role
The position is permanent full time, working Monday to Friday, 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, for a 35 hour week, working in the Council Administration Building, Nowra. The position sits within the Human Resources Team reporting to the Lead – Human Resources.

The salary range for the position is: $71,574.36 - $80,451.80 per annum plus 11% Super.

Duties
Reporting directly to the Lead – Human Resources, the focus of this position is to:

Manage end to end recruitment and attraction campaigns, from requisition approval, posting job ads, applicant screening, interviews, conducting pre-employment checks, offer and acceptance of employment contracts and on boarding in adherence with the Recruitment and Selection Policy.

  • Work closely with hiring managers to understand their talent needs, develop tailored recruitment and selection plans, and provide advice on matters relating to Talent Acquisition, sourcing, attraction, and retention.
  • Ensure recruitment and selection processes are conducted according to legislation, and Councils Recruitment & Selection policy.
  • Utilise data analytics and reporting to assess the effectiveness of recruitment plans and sourcing strategies, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Effectively coordinate and facilitate Councils recruitment software system and workflows to deliver and enhance efficiencies in the recruitment, on-boarding and cross boarding processes.

Skills & Experience
To be successful in the position, you will possess:

  • Certificate IV in Human Resources or other relevant/equivalent qualification or relevant work experience.
  • Proven recruitment/Talent Acquisition or administration/office support experience in a fast paced, high-volume work environment.
  • Experience working with online recruitment candidate management and selection systems or other demonstrated systems experience.
  • Understanding of Equal Employment Opportunity and other relevant legislation.
  • Understanding of the importance of confidentiality.
