About the role:
Based in our head office in Perth, the Tax Accountant, will play an important role in preparing indirect & direct tax compliance across the Australian & New Zealand companies. You will be a part of a diverse, fast paced, and inclusive team that strongly supports the day-to-day success and operation of our community focused for purpose business, that truly makes a difference to those that need it, around the world.
Your responsibility:
Preparation of state and federal government reporting requirements and lodgements including income tax, FBT, payroll tax, GST and withholding tax in Australia and New Zealand
Preparation of income tax provision and associated tax journals
Assisting external tax advisors with information requests and supporting documentation
Undertake ad-hoc tax technical research
Assist with the collation and preparation of information for revenue authority reviews
Support with other administrative tasks and ad-hoc projects as required
Maintain knowledge on current tax laws and regulations
About you:
4 to 5 years' experience in an accounting role, focused primarily on Tax
CA or CPA qualification
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills
Strong prioritisation and problem-solving skills with ability to be able to think outside of the box and work with strong efficiency
High degree of self-motivation, collaboration, and outcome-driven work ethic
