You will be part of the Strategic Communication and Engagement Branch (SC&E), which provides a comprehensive suite of communication and engagement services across communication, engagement, media, and digital and audio-visual, design and publishing specialist streams.
As part of the Online and Digital team in SC&E, you will deliver quality digital projects, services and advice to support improving customer-centricity and user experience, aligned with delivering the department’s strategic objectives.
Due to recent Machinery of Government changes, this department is now called The Department of Housing, Local Government, Planning and Public Works.
The Online and Digital team provides strategic digital communication planning, standards, advice and tactical delivery to proactively manage and improve the department's digital communication channels. Activities include using stakeholder engagement and customer research mechanisms to deliver complex upgrades and renewal projects.
As the Team Leader of the Online and Digital team, you can expect to participate in
- Implement strategic digital initiatives and projects using appropriate techniques (e.g. usability testing, stakeholder and change management, accessibility assessment, project management).
- Coordinate the implementation of customer-centric and accessible Digital Services using human-centred design (HCD).
- Maintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies and online better practices to support improving digital customer experience.
- Provide advice regarding digital solutions including their evaluation and reporting, and publishing, editorial and accessibility processes, policies, standards and guidelines.
- Proactively coach, mentor and manage the work performance and personal conduct of your direct reports.
