ABOUT ROLE
Responsibilities:
Business Development
- Meet and exceed sales targets
- Identify and pursue business development opportunities for DLES and other products
- Maintain accurate lead and customer records in the CRM system
- Regularly engage with customers to foster communication and relationships
DLES Group Support
- Proactively engage with prospective and existing customers to optimize equipment utilization
- Ensure timely and accurate quoting and invoicing for repairs and spare parts
- Maintain comprehensive client records in CRM tools
- Provide hands-on support to the DLES Group, including assistance with trade shows and liaison with Marketing
Pre-Sales Support
- Assist in detailing equipment configurations to meet client needs
- Collaborate with internal and external systems designers for product integration
- Contribute to Tender preparation for equipment or service supply
- Specify and prepare systems for demonstrations, assisting in their implementation at trade shows
Requirements:
- Ability to attend Defence Force and Police facilities unescorted
- Potential need for NV1 or NV2 security clearance
- Ideal for experienced field communications and networking engineers seeking a sales-oriented role
Previous Career Placements:
- Emergency Services (SES, Fire, Police, Ambulance) communications systems manager
- ADF (Army, Navy, Air Force) communications officer
- Television Outside Broadcast communications and networking manager
Advantageous Qualifications: To be maintained on an ongoing basis
- Advanced 4WD course and safe vehicle operation
- Remote area First Aid Certification
- Working with heights certification
Desirable Basics:
- Understanding of RF Transmission systems, including cellular, satcom, and microwave
- Understanding of IP networking and routers
- High level of problem-solving and analytical skills
- Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Demonstrated experience in a relevant role of 5 years or more
- Ability to self-manage and work within a team environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- CAD/Visio abilities are an asset
