About You
You will provide technical and consultive support in the areas of construction and/or maintenance on water and wastewater infrastructure within the Toowoomba Region. You will be responsible for ensuring that as-constructed asset information is collected and processed. The role also develops, implements and reviews Traffic Management Plans and Traffic Guidance Schemes across water and wastewater projects.
The Team
The Water and Sewer Maintenance Section forms part of the Water Infrastructure Services (WIS) Branch. It is responsible for carrying out the Passive assets management and maintenance of the community Water supply and Wastewater collection pipeline networks. These works are essential for maintaining public health, protecting the environment, andpromoting sustainable water management. The Water and Sewer Maintenance Section services a region encompassing Toowoomba,Crows Nest, Oakey, and Millmerran of operational works entailing:
- Reactive Water/Sewer works
- Programmed Water/Sewer works and private works
- Supply network Bulk Water mains works

About the position
- This is a permanent full-time position based at the Charlton Depot
- The annual salary range for this position is $77,223.52 - $87,970.19 gross per annum, plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.65% superannuation.

How to be successful in this position
- Hold the mandatory qualification(s), training and/or experience, as outlined under the 'Success Criteria' in the Position Description.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the design and implementation of traffic management plans.
- Demonstrated skills in a range of work activities related to the water and wastewater industry such as the recording and maintenance of water infrastructure asset data.
- Demonstrated computer skills with the ability to operate GPS, GIS and CAD software or the ability to quickly develop knowledge of the specific software used in the role.
- Demonstrated written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to provide accurate and timely advice.
- The ability to ensure all work is performed to meet safety legislative requirements and responsibilities of Council.
- Understanding of and commitment to Council’s Organisational Value and Behaviour of Teamwork.
