The role
We are seeking an experienced Technical Sales Representative to generate sales and new business in the Perth and Pilbara regions.
Reporting directly to the National Sales Manager, you will;
- Seek new business opportunities and grow the existing business by building long term relationships with customers and effectively marketing products and services
- Identify, capture and maintain market share in target segments
- Identify and recommend new market opportunities
- Constantly monitor industry developments and conduct various forms of market research
- Assist in setting sales targets, forecasts and budgets for management approval and report on forecast variance on a monthly basis
- Provide technical training as required
- Maintain contact with all key customers, potential customers, distributors and report on all market activities
- Adhere to all policies, procedures and safety protocols at all times
About you
To succeed in this role you will need
- Proven experience in sales within the drilling industry, a focus on reverse circulation drilling and a minimum of 6 years relevant experience
- Demonstrated technical aptitude in mining/drilling to provide advice to customers in the drilling consumables industry
- Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office Suite of products
- Previous exposure to CRM software packages
- Demonstrated financial acumen to contribute to setting sales budgets and outcomes
- A commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement
- A strong sense of ethics and professionalism
