Traineeship - Medical Secretary

An opportunity exists to join this dynamic and busy practice. The practice prides itself on striving for excellence in all ways. Patients are the lifeblood of any practice and as the Medical Secretary it will be your communication and people skills that are the face and voice of this practice. The successful candidate will be joining a friendly team of secretaries, nursing staff, allied health workers along with experienced Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon’s.

We are offering:

• Full-time role working 38 hours per week
• Payment of your course fees to complete Cert III Business Administration (Medical)
• State of the art rooms in Subiaco & Midland
• Supported & paid time to complete your studies

You hourly rate/wage will depend on your age, the year you finished high school and course completion progress.

The essential criteria for the successful candidate will be attention to detail, strong work ethic, the ability to work well with a team of staff and a friendly outgoing personality.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Greeting patients on the day of their appointment
• Data entry of information provided via patient information forms & referrals
• Rescheduling patients due to changes in availability
• Assisting patients to books appointments in person, via phone or internet
• Answer phones and respond to patient queries
• Provide excellent customer service to our patients
• Work as part of a team
• Ad hoc

Other Requirements:

• Must be an Australian Citizen/Permanent Resident
• Must be double vaccinated against Covid-19
