About the Company
Dr Ian Timms is a boutique specialist plastic and reconstructive surgery practice, located in the heart of Subiaco. Dr Timms himself is a highly regarded surgeon specialising in both reconstructive and cosmetic surgery of the breasts and body. For the past 16 years, the tight-knit team has taken pride in delivering professional care in an environment that is considered by most patients as feeling like family.
About the Role
In Dr Timms rooms, the Medical Secretary is required to manage the daily operations of his busy practice. This dynamic role has responsibilities across patient experience, administration, compliance and reception.
A typical day involves meeting and greeting patients, managing patient demographics, responding to patient enquiries by telephone and email, typing medical documents, ordering implants and office stock, processing payments, managing and updating Dr Timms calendar. There is scope for this role to take on additional responsibilities such as social media.
The role would suit an organised, empathetic, personable, reliable and mature individual who can manage competing demands on a daily basis. We require someone who is competent at problem solving and who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
The role is 4 days per week with the ability to cover holiday and sick leave and commences in approximately May 2024.

Essential Qualities we are Looking for in our Ideal Candidate:
- Happy positive attitude
- Reliable, punctual, strong work ethic
- Experience with Genie software in a specialist practice (highly desired)
- Exceptional patient care and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- High attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Excellent organisation and time management skills with ability to multitask
- Efficient typist
