These roles are on a temporary basis and range from 1-6 months, with the potential to extend for the right candidate.
Full time and Part time options available.
Working Hours: Monday - Friday. Part-time and Full-time options available.
Location: Perth CBD and surrounding suburbs.
Start date: ASAP.
Hourly rate: $34 - $45 ph + super.
About the role:
As a Medical Secretary, you will be responsible for performing various administrative tasks to ensure the efficient operation of medical facilities. Your primary duties will include scheduling appointments, managing patient records, transcribing medical documents, and providing excellent customer service to patients and medical staff.
Responsibilities will include:
- Coordinate patient appointments, surgeries, and meetings for medical staff using electronic scheduling systems.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, including medical histories, treatment plans, and insurance information.
- Liaise between medical staff, patients, and other healthcare professionals by relaying messages, answering inquiries, and providing assistance as needed.
- Assist with medical billing tasks, including verifying insurance coverage and processing payments.
- Manage office supplies, equipment, and inventory to ensure smooth daily operations.
About you:
- Proven experience as a Medical Secretary or similar administrative role in a healthcare setting.
- Strong organsational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-oriented approach.
- Knowledge of medical billing processes and insurance procedures is preferred.
