UK Finance Director
Your Tasks and Responsibilities
Personnel
- Lead the Finance, Controlling and Payroll teams.
- Develop and maintain financial strategies, plans, procedures and systems to support organisational growth
- Lead the annual budget and planning process in partnership with the Senior Leadership Team and ensure compliance with financial and statutory regulations.
- Produce accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with divisional timelines.
- Oversee the preparation of the company's statutory financial accounts to ensure that these are presented accurately and on time in line with divisional targets.
- Analyse financial performance, prepare variance analysis and present insights to senior management.
- Lead the development of a medium term financial strategy.
- Develop and maintain all necessary systems, policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient financial management within the organisation.
- Advise other members of the Senior Leadership Team on the performance against our financial objectives, efficiency requirements and performance data.
- Make proposals and initiate corrective actions to ensure our objectives are achieved.
- Support all necessary audits.
- Manage cash flows, debt, investments and capital expenditures.
- Implement effective internal controls and financial procedures.
- Lead audit preparation and manage relationships with external auditors
- Partner with HR on compensation, benefits and recruitment budgets and strategies.
- Identify and implement systems improvements and automations to enhance efficiency.
- Manage and develop finance team members, oversee training and succession planning.
- Ensure your teams remain aware of all relevant financial regulations and legislation.
- Maintain effective relationships with all relevant internal and external stakeholders.
What are we looking for?
Essential
- Qualified accountant with a minimum 10+ years of relevant professional experience
- Demonstrated ability to persistently pursue and achieve results.
- Ability to make good judgement in an increasingly complex global business by effectively sourcing and analysing critical information and making effective, timely decisions; considering the needs and impacts on business stakeholders.
- You will be an initiative-taker with flexibility and willingness to balance multiple, changing priorities and work under tight deadlines and be able to demonstrate influence and build strong trusted working relationships across the business.
- The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working in a multi-site international business.

We are looking to recruit a UK Finance Director to join the Finance team at our Gosforth Depot. Reporting to the Managing Director the role will be responsible for providing strategic and financial guidance to ensure that the company's financial commitments are met. Developing all necessary policies and procedures to ensure the sound financial management and control of the company's business.
