The Role
Set high in the suburb of Belrose, Glenaeon is a vibrant retirement village with panoramic views of the ocean and acres of native bushland, which offers quality amenities, friendly neighbours and a tranquil setting for our residents and their families. Glenaeon comprises both serviced apartments and independent living units (not residential aged care).
Our lovely team at Glenaeon are currently seeking a Village Support Officer to join them on a casual basis.
Shifts
- Shifts will involve working a mix of morning shifts and afternoon/evening shifts (active) with a sleepover (inactive)
- Additional assistance will be required for leave coverage
- Please note the successful candidate MUST be available for afternoon/overnight shifts
Reporting the Village Manager, your duties will include:
- Assisting with our colourful village events
- Assisting to serve meals & beverages
- Overseeing our community facilities
- Responding to resident enquiries
- Responding to call outs
- Undertaking first aid
- Initiating emergency services where required
- Basic admin tasks
- Conducting welfare checks on residents
About You
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, committed, dependable and have a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. A professional and positive approach is required at all times to ensure that all residents' needs are met. A background in either hospitality or aged care would be advantageous although not essential, as well as having the following:
- A current First Aid & CPR Certificate (or be willing to obtain)
- The ability to make decisions and remain calm under pressure
- Be motivated and able to take initiative
- Basic computer skills
