We are a family owned and operated household electrical appliance retailer with a rich history in servicing the WA public with their kitchen, cooking and laundry appliances - and we are pleased to offer the opportunity to join our expanding team based in Osborne Park.
Based in our Osborne Park retail store, this permanent full-time position is a varied hands on role focusing on the successful receipt, organisation, tracking, picking, packing, delivery and inventory control of our products, ensuring the premium experience of our customers as well as the safety of our staff and stock.
In this role, duties include, but are not limited to:
* Lead and oversee daily operations of the warehouse, including the warehouse equipment and facility and stock management system.
* Loading and unloading deliveries from suppliers and clients
* Preparing and implementing processes to manage the high frequency stock cycle
* Ensuring effective management of all deliveries to our customer base
* Coordinating with all business departments to investigate/resolve any client concerns
* Directing the admin inventory team ensuring quality control of all incoming goods and implementing of inventory control initiatives
* Proactively manage the Occupational Health and Safety Standards within the business.
* Monitor and review storage and inventory systems to meet business supply requirements
* Recording systems to track all movements of supplies and goods, and proactive reporting of inventory levels
* Monitor activity, and identify and implement corrective actions where necessary.
* Report on operations as needed
* Raising and managing supplier credit claims
* Recommend improved operating policies and processes to reflect best practices within the business.
* Manual movement of stock in and around the showroom and warehouse.
The below skills and attributes will be essential in carrying out this role:
* Experience in carrying out duties and managing a team in a warehouse environment.
* Current drivers license
* Current forklift and/or order picker license
* Be physically fit to handle repetitive heavy lifting up to about 25 kgs.
* Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
* Ability to adapt to change coupled with effective time management.
* High attention to detail.
* Excellent verbal and written communication
* Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Google Suite)
* Integrity, trustworthiness, professionalism and a customer-centric approach to problem solving.
* Experience in the Electrical Appliance (Whitegoods, Cooking Appliances etc) desirable.
Located in Osborne Park, you will be working full-time 8.00am - 4.00pm Monday - Friday.
