Form of workWarehouse Inventory Controller
This is a permanent full-time position. The role provides inventory coordination support to our team. We are seeking someone who is invested in staying with Homestyle Bake long term.
We require an individual who is comfortable working in a busy, dynamic environment with an ability to quickly respond and adapt to the changing needs of the business.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Load and unload trucks daily including preparation and completion of relevant paperwork – as per Quality Assurance requirements.
- Undertake daily and weekly stock take - maintaining high inventory accuracy levels - investigation as required via daily counts/re-counts.
- Manage stock transfers between depots.
- Place daily orders and communicate with suppliers via email and phone.
- Support the Purchasing Officer to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained.
- Data entry via desktop and tablet using industry-based programs and Excel.
- Maintain a clean and safe warehouse in accordance with QA and Workplace Health and Safety requirements.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
What we are looking for:
- Experienced and competent in warehouse duties including stock take.
- Previous purchasing experience.
- Current forklift license (essential) with high-reach experience (highly preferred).
- Current driver’s license (manual preferred)
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office skills including Excel. Training in an industry-based program will be provided).
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Accuracy - attention to detail with sound numerical aptitude.
- Ability to confidently work autonomously, as well as in a small team.
- Good communicator who is positive and personable.
- Previous experience in the food manufacturing industry is preferred.
