Work, Health & Safety Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Work, Health and Safety Manager to join a dynamic team at Brandbank.

In this key role, you will partner with frontline business leaders, managers and team members to provide proactive WHS initiatives which minimise risk and promote health and wellbeing. As a member of the HR team, you will be responsible for managing all WHS matters across a portfolio of Fashion and Lifestyle retail brands; Seed Heritage, Unison, FINE-DAY, Commonry, allkinds and kikki.K (concept and concession) and warehouse environments.

THE ROLE:

• Drive WHS strategy across support office, retail stores (concept and concession) and warehouse environments with a focus on implementation, continuous improvement, innovation and simplification.
• Have a strong commercial mindset balancing both best practices and business requirements.
• Identify key risks and develop initiatives to reduce exposure and meet WHS legislation compliance across state (s) and territory, including knowledge across NZ, HK, SNG.
• Provide internal counsel and issue resolution on Work Health & Safety, Wellbeing, WorkCover and Injury Management matters working back with leaders and our HR Business Partnering team.
• Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, implement safe work practices and investigate safety incidents.
• Manage WHS committees across support office, retail and warehouse teams.
• Support the ongoing development of our WHS management system, processes and procedures.
• Identify and support ongoing WHS training.

 THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Certificate IV or higher in Occupational Health and Safety and/or 8 years demonstrated experience within retail and warehouse environments
• Return To Work Certificate
• Level 2 First Aid
• Highly developed stakeholder management capabilities – an effective influencer
• Ability to manage both operational and strategic elements of the role
• Some interstate travel and state-based travel (store/warehouse visits) will be required
• High level of organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise
• Part Time, 3 days a week (Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays) 
• Based on-site at our St Kida Rd offices.
