Our client is a growing local insurance brokerage providing insurance advice and solutions to businesses in Melbourne. After experiencing considerable growth in the past year they are looking for someone to take over an established book whilst also having the chance to grow and develop it further.
About the role
This role would be suitable for an Account Manager looking for a new challenge or an account exec/broker looking to take the next step in their career. In this position you will be in charge of a large book of commercial clients from various industries, giving the opportunity to manage your own relationships and also develop new business.
- Effectively manage of a portfolio of commercial clients
- Support and drive new business opportunities and develop new client networks
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients
- Provide risk management advice and comprehensive insurance knowledge to clients

- Minimum 2-5 years previous broking experience within the commercial/SME or mid market environment (essential)
- Tier 1 Broking qualification (essential)
- Right to work in Australia (essential)
- Strong general insurance product knowledge
- The ability to proactively manage an existing portfolio
- Proven Sales and Business Development capabilities would be ideal
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
