Key duties and responsibilities:
- Accounts payable assistant – recording and processing of accounts payable transactions, monitoring of accounts payable, reasonable checks , credit notes
- Accounts receivable assistant – recording and processing of accounts receivable transactions, monitoring of accounts receivable, credit notes
- Reconcile supplier statements and statements of account /customer remittances
- Setting up new employees on the system (Deputy and Xero)
- Administrative duties such filing of POD’s, ageing reports
- Other administrative & accounts ad hoc duties
The ideal candidate will have the following characteristics:
- Accounts payable/accounts receivable experience.
- Certificate III in Accounts Admin
- Strong technical accounting skills
- Experience using systems such as Xero, Deputy, Microsoft Teams, Word , Excel etc
- Previous experience in accounts and administration
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Extremely organised and detail oriented
- Strong work ethic
- Meticulous and thorough
