With a history of over 160 years in the Australian and New Zealand sugar industries, Wilmar Sugar Australia operations span the value chain from sugar cane growing, sugar manufacturing, refining, exporting, and marketing, to the production of renewable electricity, ethanol, and sustainable agricultural products.
To be more specific, Wilmar manufactures over half of Australia's raw sugar, and each year exports enough electricity to power more than 68,000 Australian homes for 12 months. As well as supplying ethanol (ethyl alcohol) to the growing fuel market in Australia, Wilmar also supplies a significant market share to various industries including the pharmaceutical, printing, cleaning, winery, aerosol, animal health and food and beverage industries.
Job Vacancy
We are currently seeking applications for an Administration Assistant with strong attention to detail, and willingness to learn. This position sits within the Finance team and reports to the Commercial Manager.
The Administration Assistant will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of payments to growers and other related organisations as well as addressing related enquiries.
Responsibilities of this role will include:
- Process payments in accordance with all terms and conditions of the relevant Cane Supply Agreements (CSAs) and Pricing and Pooling Agreements (PPAs)
- Reconcile and correct data against source systems and regularly audit data integrity
- Manage and ensure integrity of contact and farm master data in the system
- Collate and distribute grower correspondence
- Provide support and advice to Growers on Cane payment information
- Work closely with peers and IT to identify, manage and resolve system issues and improvements
- Maintain effective internal and external relationships
The Successful Applicant
We are seeking an individual who excels in ensuring precision and meeting deadlines. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, coupled with strong written and verbal communication skills, is crucial. You will uphold a dedicated commitment to safety, health, and environmental considerations. Previous experience in an accounts receivable/payable or a clerical role would be advantageous, and previous exposure to the Sugar Industry is highly regarded.
