Primary School Part Time Administration role in South Eastern Suburbs

A Public Primary School in the South Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne is seeking a part-time administrator. It is a small community school with about 100 students coming from diverse backgrounds. This school has been providing excellent education for their community since 1929. The staff at this school are excited about education and constantly learning and growing. There is a strong focus on improving literacy and numeracy outcomes for all students. Being a smaller school, it is critical that staff work as a collaborative team in conjunction with families and the wider community.
Your new role
We are seeking a highly motivated and organised individual to join their team as a Primary School Part-time Administrator. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the school's staff and students.
General Admin tasks:
General office and reception duties - first point of contact with parents and students.
Under the direction of those to whom you report, you undertake duties that might include enrolments, purchasing, accounts, keys, attendance, filing, receipting payments, copying and secretarial work.
Entering daily absences and updating daily.
Assist with the admin for excursions and camps.
Entry and updating of students' details Cases 21 and Sentral.
Cash and EFTPOS receipting
Assisting teachers with the production of notices/ letters to be sent home
School Newsletter fortnightly
Assisting in school fundraising
First Aid Admin Tasks:
Keep medical records up to date, confidential and accurately recorded.
Producing student reports on camps, excursions and other activities as required
Maintaining resources, equipment and stocks relating to student health and first aid
Coordinate admin of medication for offsite activities
Maintain and restock all first aid kits and medical supplies.
What you'll need to succeed
Strong Administration Experience (Education Industry preferred but not essential)
First Aid Qualification- Ability to provide admin First Aid Admin support.
A strong work ethic: Ability to take initiative, be highly organised, show commitment, punctuality and flexibility
Systems they use are: Sentral, Cases 21, Edupay and Edusafe Plus (Experience is preferred but not essential)
The ability to display confidentiality, tact, reliability and sensitivity to all staff, students, families and visitors to the school.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
