Our Government Client is looking for a Senior Investigations Officer to join the team on an initial contract until 30 June with potential to extend. You will play a crucial role in conducting investigations, analysing supplier compliance, producing reports, and providing support to less experienced staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct state-wide compliance activities, including investigations and referrals to regulators, to ensure supplier compliance.
- Perform thorough investigations and analysis of supplier compliance, reviewing contractual commitments, employment agreements, time sheets, attendance records, pay records, and training records.
- Generate high-quality investigation reports, evidential briefs, and recommendations.
- Review technical information related to serious supplier breaches and make appropriate recommendations.
- Identify risks of non-compliance and propose suitable penalties and sanctions.
- Determine the appropriate management of complaints, including whether an investigation or referral is required.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum 4-5 years experience in an Investigations role
- Proven experience in conducting compliance investigations
- Strong analytic skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to provide guidance and support to less experienced staff
- Sound judgement and ability to identify and mitigate risks of non-compliance
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools for data analysis and reporting
