APS6 Senior Human Resource Adviser

• Multiple Locations - Canberra, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide or Perth
• No security clearance required
• Immediate start until 28th June 2024
  

Our federal government client is seeking an experienced HR professional to provide expert advice on conditions of employment along with specialised case management services for issues related to performance, probation, attendance, behaviour, entry level programs, early intervention and rehabilitation.
Key Responsibilities:

• Review departmental policies, guides, templates, and intranet materials.
• Implement necessary updates in alignment with the new Enterprise Agreement.
• Provide expert advice on HR matters, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
• Collaborate with team members to identify areas for improvement and implement initiatives accordingly.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism, accountability, and efficiency in all tasks.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a fast-paced role within a government setting.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver HR initiatives and drive process improvements.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation including the Public Service Act 1999, Fair Work Act 2009, and Privacy Act 1988.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing tasks effectively.
