About the role:  

Responsible for overseeing a portfolio of Retirement Villages within Victoria. You will work closely with the Levande Leadership Team to support the overall strategic direction and the translation into core operational priorities for the Villages, with your main goal being outstanding resident experience. 

 A primary focus of this role will be to drive employee engagement and continue to develop leadership capability across their portfolio, aligning operational objectives with skilled staff to service residents. 

 Some of your responsibilities will include, but not limited to: 

  • Lead, coach and inspire a team of Village Managers to manage and lead the village operations and improve overall leadership capability. 
  • Provide leadership and direction to all team members, investing in the development and growth of key talent. 
  • Deliver a high-performance focused culture through regular performance discussions with staff. 
  • Work closely with Support Services business partners and teams to ensure a collaborative and robust approach to change management, development, and implementation of new systems. 
  • Support and deliver strategies to contribute to the overall Retirement Living strategy. 
  • Deliver high level village business plans and meet key performance targets. 
  • Implement, monitor, and manage key financial performance indicators for the portfolio of villages, and drive Village Manager ownership of the budget and finances. 
  • Implement necessary strategies and review processes to ensure the portfolio of villages achieves / exceeds budget targets. 
  • Lead the team and embed behaviours to minimise operational risk and exposure, continuously improving the level of security and safety across the portfolio.  

About you: 

Though not necessarily from a retirement living background, we would like you to demonstrate:

  • Previous multi-site management and team leadership and development experience 
  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent with experience in: Strategy and Planning, People Leadership, Asset Management, Business Management and Project Management. 
  • Exposure and experience working with legislative requirements, specifically the Retirement Villages Act, Body Corporate Legislation and or the Residential Tenancies Act 
  • Proven analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills 
  • Strong commercial acumen and business development skills 
  • Outstanding relationship management skills, including the ability to network and influence 
  • The ability to work in and contribute to a high performing, collaborative and team environment
