The Role
As Assistant Accountant, you will be the primary accounting support to the senior accountant, prepare company's journal entries, keep balance sheet updated and assist regarding monthly account closings.
Responsibility will include:
- Responsible in account payable related including vendor creation, supplier payment and receipts recording
- Responsible in intercompany related including invoices, payment record, reconciliation
- Employee expenses reports (including petty cash fund)
- Processing of payment and receipts to recording expenses
- Cash forecast for disbursement, GRIR clearing
- Follow up on approval/disputed invoices as well as purchase order
- Other ad hoc finance/general admin duties as and when assigned by the superior

The Candidate
We're looking for an Assistant Accountant who is degree qualified with a minimum of 1 years commercial or public practice experience.
The ideal candidate will display the following:
- 1-2 years hands on experience in an Assistant Accountant or Junior Accountant role
- Degree qualified with a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance
- Ideally CPA/ CA qualified (or have partially completed)
- Advanced organisational skills
- Intermediate computer skills; competency in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and accounting software
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Able to constantly update job knowledge
- Maintains a professional appearance and provides a positive company image
