To succeed you will need to be an experienced Business Consultant, who can apply their skills and knowledge to support our clients to meet their challenging and complex business needs. The role is a hands-on position working on a variety of different activities, including, but not limited to:
- Deliver customer value: Utilising your Business Consultants’ skills, toolset, and background to deliver high quality outcomes for our clients in line with timeframes and other needs.
- Engage and collaborate: Proactively engage and collaborate directly with our clients to empathise and understand their business goals and objectives.
- Analysis and insights: Combine your experience and skillset, with our client’s understanding and knowledge of the business to become fully immersed in understanding current state issues and constraints, their desired and targeted future state and all the intermediate steps required to achieve that future state and vision.
- Establishment of written documentation: Developing of required written documentation to underpin analysis, including modelling, graphics, and evaluation techniques.
- General meeting and workshop support: Creating and distributing meeting agendas, run sheets, minutes, props and content to facilitate meetings and workshops.
- Workshop and meeting facilitation: Ability to host client-facing sessions to capture information, generate ideas, facilitate discussion, and summarise outcomes.
- Cross-team contribution: Provide valuable expertise and advice that recognises and manages relevant interdependencies.
We’re looking for someone with extensive experience in business analysis and consulting. This role involves working directly with our clients and therefore requires someone who can communicate professionally with a range of different stakeholders at different levels. The role provides unique opportunities for career development and the potential for applicants to progress into more senior roles within our company.
Ideally the successful candidate will have:
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work both autonomously and within a close team environment to prioritise own workload and delivery to meet scheduled milestones.
- At least 3-5 years of dedicated business consulting experience, ideally gained across different industries and types of engagements.
- Ability to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders and accurately capture requirements through a high level of analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated experience with a variety of business analysis methodologies, techniques and tools required to achieve customer objectives.
- Ability to evaluate and apply the most appropriate business analysis tools and techniques to ensure delivery of transparent and traceable deliverables that enables internal and external stakeholders to easily consume and understand what you have developed.
- Very strong written and verbal communications skills.
- A high level of emotional intelligence including the ability to quickly adapt your engagement approach and messaging to achieve maximum impact and influence.
- A sound understanding of digital technology trends and application in both corporate and operational environments.
- A highly analytical mind with the ability to quickly consume information and generate relevant insights and recommendations, drawing on previous experience.
- A thirst for learning, with the ability to quickly develop an in depth understanding of new industries and related matters.
- Experience working in a government or regulated environment, including a sound understanding of the related governance mechanisms.
