Imagine a comprehensive Saas (Software-as-a-Service) platform providing a market place for businesses to buy and sell, marketing their products, within the building and construction industry. Architects use the platform to put their plans together, order particular items such as fixtures and finishings like lighting, kitchen, bathroom goods like tiles, sinks, windows etc. Architects, Project Managers and Developers find this platform to be a one-stop-shop where they can do their job faster on a drag and drop style ordering system.
You would be selling to the manufacturers and suppliers who want to put their products into this system so Architects, Project Managers and Developers can easily buy their goods. You would be calling up business owners, small and large, of companies who manufacture / supply finished products that go into the later stages of the build e.g. showers, ovens, curtains, tiles, carpet, lighting etc.
Well established highly successful Australian based marketing platform. The business currently has a strong presence of BDMs and AMs in Sydney and Melbourne. This is a subsidiary owned by a big brand name in Australia with over 400 head count. Both companies share the same offices together across Australia. The office has around 30+ staff all working hybrid roles with 3 days in the office.

About the role
- New Business Development – Researching, Prospecting, Cold Calling
- Regular product demonstrations online and F2F
- Attend events and expos across both Sydney and Melbourne
- Full Sales cycle opening and closing sales
- Regular objection handling in consultative sales process
- Sales cycle can vary from 1 to 4 weeks
- Sell into SME to Enterprise sized companies
- Working with a team of 6 with 3 days in the office
- Annual Target is $240K which is $20K per month
- Hitting your $20K monthly target will give you a $2K bonus each month
- Enjoy accelerators (uncapped commission) above hitting your bonus target
- Can sell into all company sizes all across Australia and New Zealand
- Find manufacturers and suppliers who sell to Architects
- Architects can use the platform to write their documentation and can also add products to it
- Your direct report goes into the office on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday but you’re free to choose when you go in
- First month onboarding requires 4 days in the office

- New Business Development doing outbound sales generation
- Research, Prospect, Update Hubspot CRM
- $7K average deal sizes but can be much higher at times
- Sales cycle is 1 to 4 weeks but can vary depending on company size
- Annual target of $240K in ARR
Ideal skills and experience
They're looking for a real sales hunter who isn't shy to do Business Development. This requires full sales cycle experience with the ability and drive to do your own new Business Development. Open to all sales experience but will prefer people who come from outbound selling, direct B2B, not shy to cold call, driven and able to succeed both in the office and at home. Coming from consultative selling where you have built your own sales pipeline is really essential here. You will be rewarded for your hard work with great commission, a strong sales career opportunity within the company and a lot of hands on Saas sales experience.
