Job Description:
We are seeking a Business Development Manager with extensive experience in the international freight forwarding space. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of global logistics, be adept at identifying new business opportunities, and excel in building and maintaining strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to expand our customer base in the international freight forwarding market.
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and evaluate customer needs.
- Actively seek out new sales opportunities through networking, social media, and other means.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
Your Experience:
- International freight forwarding experience.
- Track record of over-achieving sales targets.
- Self-starter who can mentor and provide guidance to more junior staff members.
- Negotiate contract terms and close agreements.
- Maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions and trends.
- Work collaboratively with the operations team to ensure a seamless service delivery.
What we are looking for:
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in Business Development in the international freight forwarding industry.
- Strong knowledge of various modes of transport (air, ocean, road, rail) and international trade.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
- Strong business sense and industry expertise.
