About the Role:

We are on the hunt for a Business Development Manager who's ready to roll up their sleeves and make some serious waves. As part of the BDM team, you'll always be on the lookout for the next cool spot in restaurants, salons, spas and wineries. You're a serious closer and understand the service industry at the back of your hand. You thrive in a high growth environment and are extremely competitive.

What You'll Do

  • Identifying leads for new venues that aren't currently on the Best Restaurants, Best Wellness and Best Wineries platform with the aim of targeting them for signing up 
  • Over time, as you mature in vendor sales, grow into corporate sales with bigger ticket values 
  • Setting meetings with new prospects with the aim of signing them on to the Best partner program via phone, email or face to face visits. 
  • Work on ideating and implementing lead gen campaigns and activities to attract more vendors. 
  • Owning your Sales and Revenue Targets 

Your background

  • Some sales experience with demonstrated track record of success within the service industry 
  • Hubspot experience is a plus but not a requirement
  • Prior Experience in hospitality is a plus 
  • Ability to sell and present ideas in a compelling way, adjusting your style to a wide variety of audiences 
  • Excellent relationship management skills 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills 
  • Track record of successfully negotiating and delivering sales 
  • Hardworking and ‘get the job done at all costs' attitude 
  • Resilient, competitive & exceptionally target driven 
  • Fast learner with the ability to think on your feet 
  • The ability to move quickly to meet short lead times for proposals, ensuring client objectives are met 
  • Our HQ is based in Sydney, but we're keen to explore candidates based outside of Sydney. In that case, you'll visit us regularly and work remotely.
